"Participating in the Dual Degree program between Deakin University and BTU has been a privilege and an amazing opportunity. Being able to live in Germany and take classes offered an incredible insight into the differences in my prior tertiary education, and I have benefited immensely from collaborative learning opportunities from my peers in the degree. BTU have a culturally diverse cohort in the World Heritage stream, which is a benefit of attending.

I was able to take full advantage of my time and I travelled significantly around Germany and several other countries, which enriched my understanding of culture and intangible cultural heritage practices in ways I would have missed, had I not participated in the Dual Degree. I have now visited museums and world heritage sights I have dreamed of seeing since I was a child, and I was able to visit places significant to my own family histories as well.

Immersing yourself in foreign cultures and languages during study exchanges is a unique and important tertiary opportunity, and one I will always be grateful for."
